Common Boiler Faults

There are many reasons why boilers and central heating systems can fail, here's just a few common faults we come across:

  • Low pressure - Possible leak in the central heating system, a failing radiator valve or faulty expansion vessel can cause low pressure warnings.
  • Boiler not igniting - No gas reaching the boiler, a faulty gas valve or no power reaching the gas valve.
  • Hot water but no heating - Thermostat broken, faulty clock, faulty pump.
  • No hot water - DHW flow switch broken, faulty diverter valve.
  • No lights on boiler - No power to boiler, blown fuse, faulty PCB.
